Welcome to Everyday Spaces, Sacred Graces

I have spent a lot of my life looking for God in the places I thought I was supposed to find Him. In answered prayers. Open doors. Big moments. The stories that sound like testimony when we tell them later.

But somewhere along the way, I began to realize that I had been looking so far ahead that I was almost missing what was happening right in front of me.

God was there too.

He was there in the ordinary mornings, the difficult conversations, the long drives, the quiet prayers, the responsibilities I sometimes wished I could put down, the moments of laughter with my family, the people who crossed my path for reasons I did not yet understand, and the seasons that did not make sense until I looked back at them.

Everyday Spaces, Sacred Graces was born from that realization.

I believe God is not limited to the places we label sacred. His presence is not confined to church buildings, Bible studies, worship services, or the moments when everything feels spiritually significant. He meets us in kitchens and cars, workplaces and classrooms, friendships and failures, celebrations and uncertainty.

Sometimes the sacred is hiding inside the ordinary.

And sometimes we simply need to slow down long enough to notice it.

Why I Write

I write because I am still learning.

These pages are not meant to be a collection of answers from someone who has figured everything out. They are reflections from someone who is learning to recognize God more clearly in the middle of real life.

I write about faith, motherhood, relationships, work, service, Scripture, doubt, growth, obedience, joy, disappointment, and all the little spaces in between where God continues to meet us.

Some of these reflections begin with something I read in Scripture. Others begin with a conversation, a moment with my family, something I noticed on the way to work, or a thought that stayed with me long after the moment had passed.

Often, I write because I am trying to understand something God is teaching me.

And sometimes, somewhere in the process, I realize I was not the only one who needed the reminder.

A Faith That Meets Us Here

I believe following Jesus is not about creating a separate spiritual life that exists alongside our everyday life. It is about allowing Him into all of it: our work, our homes, our relationships, our mistakes, our waiting, our celebrations, and the places where we feel strong and the places where we feel completely undone. The more I learn to abide in Christ, the more I recognize that He was never asking me to escape ordinary life in order to find Him. He was asking me to meet Him there.

What You Will Find Here

You will find reflections rooted in Scripture and shaped by everyday life. Some begin with something I read in God’s Word, while others begin in much less expected places: a conversation, a difficult season, a moment with my children, something that happened at work, or a thought that simply would not leave me alone. This is a place for honest questions, imperfect faith, prayer, growth, and the lessons God continues to reveal when I slow down long enough to notice Him. My hope is not that you leave here with all the answers, but that something you read encourages you to look for God a little differently in your own life. Perhaps you will begin noticing His presence in places you once considered ordinary and discover that grace has been meeting you there all along.

Come Sit for a While

You do not have to arrive here with perfect faith, perfect circumstances, or everything figured out. Bring your questions, your stories, your celebrations, your unanswered prayers, and all the pieces of life that still feel unfinished. Come as you are and stay for as long as you need. My hope is that this becomes a quiet place to be reminded that God is present not only in the extraordinary moments, but in the everyday spaces we so easily overlook. And perhaps, as we learn to notice Him together, we will discover that some of the places we thought were ordinary were sacred all along.
